Analysis of work-related stress of employees in manufacturing companies in Reynosa Tamaulipas border zone

Nowadays, Work stress tends to be one of the factors that have an impact on the different phases of an individual’s life, constituting a challenge within the work environment. According to the constant global changes, organizations from various manufacturing, service, public or private sectors around the world have been forced to modify their production processes in order to stay competitive in the market. As a result, the demands on employees increase, causing stress to the individual and adding other factors, such as limited interaction with the environment, personality and long working hours. The purpose of this research was to examine the perception that people have in their work environment towards aspects of flexibility, and to identify the connection between them. The study is descriptive, quantitative and correlational in approach. The design of the research was based on the state-of-the art review of the instrument for collecting the main intra-workplace conditions that directly affect the development of work stress. The results show that, when applying a descriptive analysis test to the intellectual challenge variable, the highest value was obtained with an average of 3.39, which indicates that employees have a strong level of training related to the activities they carry out in each area of the company. This is followed by the organizational climate variable with a score of 3.17 and is positively related to a good relationship between the staff.
