Interactive mobile robot for learning angles with elementary school students
Keywords:
Educational robot, angles learning, mobile robot, multimodal interface, socio-epistemology, educational mathematics.Abstract
This article presents a novel mobile robot for learning angles. The robot is developed and designed using the Educational Mathematics and Mobile Robotics to identify the kind of angles. The performance of the mobile robot is assessed by practicing elementary students. The mobile robot is easy to use with multimodal interface using the arm and the hand acquired by Kinect v2 in real-time. Also, the interface is described considering its elements and functions. This article includes results and topics studied during various practices in which the mobile robot was used during classes with elementary students using the nesting model of practices used in the Socio-epistemological Theory from Educational Mathematics.
