Estado actual de la diabetes en México y uso de la nanotecnología en los nuevos tratamientos con insulina

Resumen

Actualmente, los países de todo el mundo asignan grandes cantidades de recursos monetarios en el control de la diabetes mellitus y en las enfermedades relacionadas con el síndrome metabólico. Los países en vías de desarrollo, como México, factores como el estilo de vida sedentario y la desinformación en el control de la alimentación provocan una mayor incidencia en los casos de diabetes mellitus. Por este motivo, es necesario estudiar las tendencias actuales en cuanto a la diabetes mellitus, los factores que desencadenan el desorden metabólico y aquellos que lo empeoran. En este trabajo de revisión nos centramos en el estudio del estado actual de la diabetes en México, los tratamientos actuales y los avances que se tienen en el campo de la nanotecnología para la administración de fármacos.
