Tratamiento conservador y preservación de un órgano en el trauma renal contuso de alto grado en un paciente pediátrico: reporte de caso

El articulo a continuación tiene el objetivo de hacer una revisión en el tratamiento actual del trauma abdominal contuso, enfocándonos al trauma renal de pacientes pediátricos. De igual forma es nuestra intención seguir sumando evidencia que respalde la tendencia de optar por el tratamiento conservador sobre el tratamiento quirúrgico en pro de evitar tratamientos innecesarios. Presentamos entonces el caso de un trauma renal en un paciente de 11 años que se manifiesta con hematuria franca y disminución de la hemoglobina, clasificándose como grado IV en la clasificación de AAST (American Association for the Surgery of Trauma) por tomografía, sin embargo, manteniéndose hemodinámicamente estable posterior al tratamiento conservador siendo posible preservar el riñón y su función sin complicaciones.
