About the Journal

Revista de Ciencias Médicas Torreón is an academic, scientific, and humanistic journal edited by the Autonomous University of Coahuila. Its general objective is to disseminate information on basic research, biomedical clinical research, and research in medical education, understood as the application of biological, social, and administrative sciences to the analysis of health phenomena in human populations, as well as to the identification of health needs, educational research, and the organization of comprehensive services.

Its specific objectives are to review historical experiences and encourage new currents of thought in the field of health; to participate in the debate on changes in health conditions and the organized social response to such conditions; and to serve as a forum where all innovations in the field of medicine and related areas may be expressed with the greatest possible rigor.

Revista de Ciencias Médicas Torreón is primarily intended for researchers, academics, professionals, and undergraduate, graduate, and medical specialty students.
