Abstract

The book "Un altro presidenzialismo: A Comparative Study of the Latin American Form of Government Based on the Mexican and Chilean Cases", authored by Rosa Iannaccone, explores Latin American presidentialism and offers a notable and important comparative study of the presidential systems of two major countries in the region.

The text aims to determine whether Latin American presidentialism exhibits unique characteristics that make it a distinct variant, different from the outset from the classic U.S. model, and thus to establish whether another form of presidentialism exists.
