Abstract

The book, titled *Climate Change on Trial*, was written by César Rodríguez Garavito and published in Argentina by Siglo XXI Editores; this is its first edition. It was translated by Ezequiel Zaidenwerg-Dib, and its ISBN is 978-987-801-481-4. The book has 240 pages and is part of the “Otros futuros posibles” (Other Possible Futures) series, edited by Maristella Svampa.

The book’s table of contents is divided into five chapters, which chronicle how the environment and its conservation evolved from being an issue that was a priority only for a few concerned individuals to becoming the responsibility of governments worldwide. As is the case with most social causes, the general public first identifies a social problem; a movement is launched by individuals that gains momentum over time; and eventually, government institutions step in to attempt to legislate on the matter.
