Web accessibility statement

The International & Comparative Journal of Human Rights is committed to ensuring equitable

and inclusive access to all of its scholarly content and digital resources for people with disabilities or different abilities.

To meet this objective, the journal’s web platform provides the following features:

  • Screen reader compatibility: The website’s structure uses semantic HTML5, which allows for correct interpretation by assistive software such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
  • Keyboard navigation: The entire interface is operable using the tab key in a logical and functional manner, without requiring exclusive use of the mouse.
  • Inclusive design and contrast: A high color contrast is maintained between text and backgrounds to facilitate reading for people with low vision or color blindness.
  • Alternative text: The descriptive images on the site, including cover images and logos, have alternative text (alt) tags for reading by screen readers.
  • Adaptive structure and design: The platform allows font size to be enlarged using native browser tools without loss of information, and its formatted articles are organized with legible, structured text layers to ensure proper decoding.
