The book *Reflections on the Implementation of the 2024–2025 Judicial Reform*, published by the Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD), is one of the first collective analyses of the impact of the most controversial judicial reform in Mexico in recent decades. Unlike other works that focus on the constitutional reform itself, this book examines its concrete effects. It examines institutional dilemmas, the tensions between democratic legitimacy and judicial independence, and the practical implications of implementing the ideal of popular election of judges within the reality of Mexican politics.
