Abstract

Well-being is a multidimensional concept that encompasses economic, social, and personal aspects. This article explores the methodologies used to measure well-being, emphasizing the importance of multidimensional approaches. Well-being measurement should not only rely on economic indicators but also on social and subjective dimensions that capture quality of life and personal satisfaction. Various methodologies developed by international organizations such as the UNDP's Human Development Index (HDI), the OECD Better Life Index, and the World Happiness Report from the World Economic Forum are reviewed. The findings suggest that an integrated approach provides a more comprehensive and accurate view of well-being. They highlight the need for public policies that address these multiple dimensions to improve the overall well-being of the population.
